Dance like no one can see you;
Love like you've never been hurt;
Sing like no one can hear you;
Live like heaven is on earth.
Matthew was a dearly loved Son, Grandson, Brother, Twin, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend to many. He was a Daddy, and now a Guardian Angel, to a beautiful young daughter. His wonderful energy and exuberance will be sadly missed.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep -
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am on the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain;
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush,
Of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry -
I am not there, I did not die.

"Live to Ride, Ride to Live"
Harley Davidson, everything else is walking.
One Paper Kid
Cowboys and Indians and trees he could climb
Tomorrow came too fast but he didn`t mind
The distance was short so light it again
It don`t take no time to get where I am
But one paper kid wasn`t really so mean
Just a little bit scarred and a little bit green
And he`d heard of a place it was legal to dream
So he sat with his coffee in a blue Texas wind
And he wrote on a rock
The one paper kid is rollin` again
Driver was drunk or he just didn`t see
The future is there it`ll happen to me
And all the time that he wasted was his once again
Ah, it never takes long to get where you`ve been
Broken hearts scattered all over the past
Old bad memories trying to last
Whiskey and women and growing up fast
Fussing and living and itching like grass
Well that one paper kid wasn`t really so mean
Just a little bit weary cause times were so lean
Now he`s gone to a place where it`s legal to dream
No camels no coffee no cold morning winds
It was wrote on a rock
The one paper kid is rollin` again

Matthew's funeral was at Holy Redeemer Church, Kanata, Ontario on Friday, March 31, 2006. His twin sister Danielle paid him a moving tribute in her eulogy and his niece, Brooklyn, shared her memories with us all. Mary and Paul Neibergall graciously opened their beautiful home for a reception after the funeral. This was the entrance hymn sung during his funeral and is playing now. If you don't want to listen, turn down the volume on your speakers or monitor.
Here I Am Lord
Words and Music by Daniel L Schutte
I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin,
My hand will save.
Chorus:
Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
I, who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them?
Whom shall I send?
I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have borne my people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them.
They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone,
Give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my words to them.
Whom shall I send?
I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will send the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide,
'Til their hearts be satisfied.
I will give my life to them.
Whom shall I send?
