Summer Solstice Celebration - Thursday, June 21, 2001

Our Event on Thursday, June 21, 2001 was at my home in the country outside Richmond, Ontario.

We utilized red candles, bells were strung from the trees and we all brought a wish, a hope or a wonder, or a poem, a prayer or a promise expressing our hopes for the next season. These were both private and shared with the group. We wrote down all of our sorrows, frustrations, hopes and dreams and threw them in the fire.

A Brief Agenda

We took time to join the group energy by standing in a circle, joining hands, closing our eyes and breathing deeply. Then imagined connecting to and opening the energy of our solar plexus, breathing in the nose and out of the mouth. Next we did the same with our heart energy, imagining it radiating it in every direction. Once that was done, we imagined joining the two energy centers together through a bridge of light.

Once each individual was connected, grounded and focused, we had each person send a direct beam of their heart energy to the person sitting to their right, while opening to receive the beam that was being sent to them from the left. We did the same with the solar plexus energy.

We used the following invocations as they create a balance of male and female energies. The first invocation is focused on the male (Spirit) and the second is focused on the female (Soul).

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the Mind of God, let Light stream forth into our minds.

Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God, let Love stream forth into our hearts.

May Christ return to Earth.

From the center where the Will of God is known, let Purpose guide the wills of mankind.

The Purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the center which we call the Race of Mankind, let the Plan of Love and Light work out.

And may it seal the door where Evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Earth.

Communion of Souls Invocation

We are a Communion of Souls. For we are each a soul, a mind, a consciousness, a body of glowing incandescent Light. We are both male and female, whole and complete within ourselves, yet joined in the most deeply intimate communion with every other soul in the Cosmos.

The One Soul is perfect and we play a part in that ongoing process of perfection. The One Soul appeared to become the many and is now becoming the One again, just as we are becoming at one again.

We are just where we need to be. We have just what we need to have to take the next step on our Path. And life is constantly providing us with opportunities along the Way. There is only what there is, beyond good and bad. Bad is simply our name for those experiences whose part in our growth we are not yet able to understand or accept. It is all part of a perfectly unfolding Plan and we are partners in that unfolding. Here and now we commit to celebrating our Paths of unfolding love.

Just as there is the One Soul, so there is the one sound. The Song of Songs, the Sound of the Soul is "Aum."

("Aum" - chanted three times)

May we all know the Love that passeth all understanding.

We had a moment of silence, remembrance and reflection then we read aloud our personal intentions of healing for this time, both for our life and for the planet as a whole and allowed people to be spontaneous with their blessings. After every person had shared or placed their wishes in the fire, we affirmed one another as each individual finished - with a group chant of "So be it!"
