Our first Spring Spirit Workshop Festival was just excellent. We had a diverse and high quality group of speakers - everyone was just incredible. Cudos, praise and thanks.
Brent Bradley donated a framed glass etching of three kittens drinking from a bowl of milk. Kristen won this. Another amazing little synchronicity - Kristen is waiting for her cats to clear quarantine so they can come into Canada. One of the cats in the picture looked like one of hers. Sweet!

Sahara Software donated the software "New Age Pro" for a giveaway at our event as well as some other promotional materials. Mavis was the winner of this program. It couldn't have gone to a more perfect place. This is a total business in a package. Definitely a wonderful prize and worth owning. Congratulations Mavis!
These software products are amongst the best in their respective categories on the Internet today and if you ordered before May 15, 2001 and quoted "Tarot Canada" special promotion #TC1235 you would have received discounts ranging from 34-46% on all of their products.
Thank you Samer Saab, Vice President of Marketing for Sahara Software for your great support of Tarot Canada.
Santa Monica Press is donating a copy of Nancy Shavick's "Tarot Universe" for our event. Much thanks to Jeffrey for his generous support of Tarot Canada. Nancy Shavick is my absolute favourite author on Tarot. This book would be a wonderful addition to anyone's collection. Unfortunately it did not arrive in time for the giveaway so when it arrives it is being sent to Katie who travelled from Toronto to join us for the day. Nancy won the glass Dolphin figurine and Doug won the Suncatcher. We also drew for the centrepieces on the tables.

In this workshop, we discovered the origins of bellydancing and it's surprising uses. We covered the basic dance moves in this ancient artform, how they originated and how they are used. We learned a short history on the dance, straightened out the general misconceptions about bellydancing (and bellydancers) and found out how bellydancing can be used as a regular form of exercise.
We also covered bellydancing as a meditation technique and how to use bellydancing to find better health - mental, physical and psychological! We had a great response from the men in the audience!

The Ottawa School of Homepathy has been offering courses since 1992 to educate and train people in the use of Classical Homeopathy for chronic and acute ailments. Each homeopathic remedy sends a unique electromagnetic message to the body to bring change and balance, much like the remote control sends a message to the TV to change the channel.

Kinesitherapy is a holistic study, believing that good health is to live in balance: mind, body and spirit. Relaxation, physical activity and diet all contribute to a healthy body. If one part of the body is injured or stressed, the whole body is affected - other muscles, nerves and systems.
Merwyn gave us a workshop on massage and its benefits, both physically and mentally. She led us through an interactive massage, working with partners. This concentrated on the back, over clothing - a major area of tension and strain for many of us. She also showed us some techniques with lotion for our hands and feet. This was a throughly relaxing and quite humourous portion of the day. A very nice way to close out the day.
Merwyn's interest and belief in the power of massage to promote healing comes from her 20 years in work in fitness and sports. Merwyn has coached several sports including swimming, gymnastics and golf.
